Hi, not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I just bought some durvet vitamin b complex to use in my ducks, and I can’t figure out how to open it. Does it just twist off, pop off, or do I need to like stab it open? I’ve tried twisting and popping and it won’t come off and I can’t find instructions how to open it anywhere. Sorry, I’m sure it’s probably a lot simpler than I am making it.

It looks to be a bottle for a needled syringe. Not sure it can just be opened.
Thank you, so I need to buy a regular needle syringe and inject it in the top of the bottle? Would I need to cover the lid with anything or should it have like rubber or something in it to seal it up?

Lift the lid off with a fingernail or tool, such as a knife, and then it is ready to insert a needle. See below if you are not injecting it. If you are withdrawing 1 ml, be sure to inject 1 ml of air into the vial first. In chickens most injections are given into the breast muscle 1/4 deep. Some give them just under the skin in the back of the neck while pinching the skin.

You can also remove or twist off the metal with pliers, where you could insert a needle-less syringe or dropper. Then you could give the B complex orally, instead of by injection.

Thank you 😊

Absolutely do not rip the top off. You'll just waste the left over product. Get a 16 or 18 guage needle and a small syringe (3ml). Inject a little air into the bottle and draw up what ever your dose is (.1-1.0 ml/ duck) Remove needle and squirt it on the food or a treat. Product should be shelf stable but it is enough for a truck load of ducks (10 life times) so keep it as sterile as possible and store in the fridge. Or take it back and get a more manageable option.

Thank you, I thought about grabbing a syringe at the store but thought I could just twist it off lol, I should’ve known better since it’s usually injected in most animals.
