How do you all keep track of you eggs to date? (Poll)

I use Mother Hen app. It lets you track eggs by color and your flock members as well as sales and purchases. It’s a little outdated, but it’s what I started with, so I’ve stuck with it.

I just buy a calendar and write on the day how many were collected and how many I sold. It can be a nice calendar or a cheap dollar store one. Sometimes I'll keep track of weather on it too.

I have 24 hens. I only track the number of eggs per day. Since free calendars are widely available I use one of those and write my daily total down. That way I can spot surges and dips in the egg laying.

x2! I use Flockstar as well, it’s a wonderful app.

But I’m pretty sure you have to pay for it now? In May or June I paid $2 for a month and now I believe it’s automatically renewing. Unless they changed it back to being free.

Yes, I use it too and live it! And it USED TO BE FREE. it's not anymore. I forget it's either 20 or 30 a year. But I think it's well worth it. You can journal and make notes and take pictures. It's really pretty good.

We use Home Assistant and write up an integration to track them. I just have to push a button for each egg. The tracker shows the information as a cool graph. Eventually, I'd like to see the graph over years to see how weather impacts laying. Can you tell we are first time chicken owners?

We label our eggs with the date in sharpie and note who we think laid them in a log book.

I picked up Flockstar for $30/year to see how it goes for the first bit. Since I am also considering a meat flock due to the price of an average chicken here, it might also help with that. I love hearing how other people are keeping track!

same, love this app. Its too bad you now have to pay to use it, but 19.99 per year is acceptable.

I use a free app called Flockstar. It can show individual bird's record and the whole flock record, and allow you to compare eggs laid with previous months and years. I'm curious about what everybody else use for their record.
