How do you sell eggs?

Yes, I count down the calendar, anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks out, 4 weeks out, depending on the age of the oldest egg in the carton. So if the oldest egg was laid July 1, the eggs would expire July 29.
I don't mark when they're laid because they're laid different days.
Yes, usually I can fill a dozen within a day. But if not or I'm going for an 18 pack It's by the next day. So I date them from the day I started the carton. So 4 weeks is what you do? And you mark that on the carton?

Yes, just my label and exp. date - so I just sold a bunch of eggs, that had been collected beginning July 4, so I wrote them as expiring August 1 (just counted four Thursdays down the calendar).

Thanks! So far I just code mine with a 5-digit code first number being two last number being four because of the year. The three in between are the day of the year. I just do that because it's harder to read and I feel like if I put actual dates on there I'd have people picking off the top all the time. I don't want four day old eggs becoming two weeks old because they can clearly read the dates and want today's or yesterday's. I've always thought maybe I should do an expiration date.
