Welcome To BYC! It depends. If you're going to butcher them when they're done laying you're looking at 5 or 6 years. If you're looking at until old age gets them you've got a long time. They live about the same length maybe longer than most breeds. Which I've had a couple pet hens stay alive for 13 years. I also breed Black Australorps. I have 24 pullets and 1 cockerel. Out of all the breeds that I've raised Black Australorp is my favorite.
