How many peahens and what age?

I am new to the world of peafoul. I had a peacock show up on my property almost a year ago and he has stuck around. I’m pretty attached to him at this point, so I would like to build him an enclosure to keep him safe and get him some girlfriends. I am busy doing all the research that I can, but I’m curious how many peahens I should get for him and what a good age for introduction would be. I’m assuming I would do an introduction much like chickens where we keep them in separate pens, but where they can see each other for a while before integration. I have the opportunity to buy two 9 month old peahens for $200 or a two year-old and a three-year-old at 250 and 300 each. I do not know the age of the peacock and I’m not sure how much age matters as far as introducing new birds to him. I am not looking to start a breeding operation so laying age of the peahens does not matter to me. I’m mostly curious what would be safest age for creating the new flock and I welcome any and all kind advice, resources and suggestions.
Thank you!

Not yet, but my traditional time is April 1st. My earliest has been March 22, I don't remember the latest first egg.
Thank you for responding back. I'm still trying to figure this app out. I rarely get any response back to any of my post when I post my own post.

I was quite shocked, honestly. It's been pretty cold here up until about a week ago, so I wasn't even looking for eggs yet. Imagine my surprise when I went out to tuck them in at night and found that first egg! So far, they've alternated an egg approximately every day for a total of 6. I'm expecting a 7th tonight.
