Hey y’all! We have been blessed with chickens for years, and ducks on and off, but I have never actually SOLD the eggs! Given them away lots, but never sold.
So, I’m trying to see what prices typically are.. I want to be fair and not charge absurd amounts, but also make it worth it, if possible…
What’s the going rate?!

Also, we got a small flock of duckies recently, so what do duck eggs go for?

For ducks and chickens both, I’d love to know what y’all sell dozen, 18 packs, etc. for!

I’m located in North Alabama, if that makes a difference!

I'm in the Mid-Atlantic area, and I give away eggs but request a donation - usually ends up being $5 per dozen and $10 per 18 eggs. Hope this helps!

Edit: When I had ducks, I charged the same, because I usually mixed the duck eggs in with the chicken eggs.

That is so helpful!! Thank you for your reply!

I get $4/doz for my chicken eggs. That is cheaper than store eggs and I know mine are better, but .. I live in a financially depressed community and people buy from me bc they can't afford market prices. Mostly I sell to people on fixed incomes. If this were a high-end market and people wanted high-priced fancy Martha Stewart eggs, I would price them accordingly, $8 to $12/doz., but that's not the case. Sometimes I can't sell them at all and when that happens I donate them to the local Bread Shed.

That’s so sweet of you!! And at least $4 is $4!! That’s something towards a feed bill! 😊
