How much do you sell your baby chicks for?

Wister, OK
I was just wondering if I am selling my chicks for too little, or even too much where I am at!

I sell at a livestock auction in Wister OK, and can sell straight run baby chicks for $2 a chick.

But I have also seen people sell pullets for $1 each (Rhode Island Reds), then seen people sell Roos for $15 a piece!

What do you guys sell your baby chicks or even adult chickens for?

I'm glad to see somebody else who supports Nankins.
Do you have Nannies, too? :fl There are so few of us, anymore, and with the club going defunct ... or at least silent ... it's hard to keep in touch. We've got mostly rose combs, although DD's lone single comb roo won Best Bantam at the Cecil County Fair, last month. She won BIS, last year with her main rooster, Yosemite Sam, who is now retired to the breeding pen ... and my shoulder, as I type! What can I say? Sammy is - and has always been - My Boy! :)

I only have a few left since the breeder I was buying them from stopped selling them. They were really popular in our chicken club a couple of years ago but most of those people have aged out.

There are still a few of us out here - and the numbers are growing a bit in Maryland. If you want back "in," let me know. I'm sure we can find someone near you ... or if anyone is passing through on their way to or from "Down South," several are right off of Interstate 95.

I would love to get some more nankins but I just bought 13 chicks and now I have no room left in my coop. I am considering breeding the Nankins I have in a few years but I'm not sure if they are all pure Nankin or if some of them are mixes.
