How to attach wire to cover the eaves

Here is our coop build at this point, and I'm trying to figure out the best way to secure wire (hardware cloth) in the eaves to predator proof, both in the coop and run. I think for the run I can attach it to the plywood roof, but the run just had polycarbonate panels (see second photo for gap that needs to be filled).
Ideas? Pictures of what you have done?

The simplest way (or the way i would do it) would to go from trim to trim. The outter most trim on the egde of the tin, to the top piece of the coop and run. I only use a heavy duity staple gun to secure hardware cloth. Nothings been able to budge it yet.

My run is quite similar to yours. To fill that area, I first installed boards between the rafters and pushed them up tight to the roofing, which just left the small gap from the corrugated shape. To fill that, I stapled a thin strip of hardware cloth to the board leaving the spiky ends at the top as an added deterrent to anything fishing around up there. I think the idea shows up in this pic.

This is helpful, I was thinking about doing this but I still have about an inche gap. I'll need something wider than a 2x4 I guess
