I have a variety of chikens some breeds I can Identify and some I can't. Amongst those I can identify are Barred rock and Delaware. This are the chickens I want to experiment with.
I have two roosters that I want to breed to individual hens at a time. From the pictured chickens which ones would make great mating pairs ?(including the Plymouth barred rock, even though it's not pictured) To cover each other the following traits;colorful plumage, smallest chicken, long tail fearthers and size.

Are you wanting to breed to standard or changing the breed conformation and color?
Are you crossing the breeds or improving both breeds equally?
If you cross those two breeds, you'll have nothing more than a barnyard mix for many years.
Neither is known for particularly long tails. Smallest chicken would mean you want to start with bantams. There are lots of tiny breeds as well as some with wildly long tails. To get the most colorful plumage, that takes ideal nutrition - unless you want a color that is not barred or the Delaware white Columbian color. There are lots of varieties of Plymouth Rocks that are more colorful than barred.

Is there anything I can do to increase the chances of getting some of their ancestral traits. For example I got a an Easter Egger from this hen(pictured below)
