How to build a model of the brooklyn bridge?

I need to build a model of the brooklyn bridge for a school project. It needs to be realistic. Any ideas? and no i cant but a matchstick bridge kit

My son built a model bridge for school. He used Balsa wood strips (they are easy to cut to size with a razor knife). You get graph paper, find a good picture to draw a draft from of the bridge onto the grafp paper. Then do a final draft of this picture. use each square as a measurement like each square eguals 1/2 inch. then cut your sticks to the size it needs to be and glue them together. You will need a graph for the sides, and the middle of the bridge.

as of today, im gonna use balsa wood for the the deck/road im ganna get some foam and carve the piers, and use picture or jewlery wire for the cables.
