How to count your chicks.

So I had this revelation and feel rather stupid. After all my years of raising chickens.... it just dawned on me that I can just snap a picture and count the fluffballs. So much easier than to try and count moving peeps.

Something I do daily because I have crafty indoor cats that sneak in when the kids go through the door.

It is a great idea, but don't you have chicks that hide behind the rest? I have silkies so there's different colors. I count them in the photo and wonder where the blue one went. I go look, well there he is! There's always one or two that do that to me!

But hey, at least we're close!
