How to cut into cooler?

I'm making a homemade incubator out of a plastic cooler this time because both of my other homemade incubators are styrofoam and falling apart. I need to put in a window, but how do I do it?

This is why I stopped making my homemade incubator: I couldn't figure out how to cut into the lid to make a hole for the glass. Let us know how the cutting goes. A couple good options are suggested.

I suspect that you mean a hand held jigsaw otherwise known as a sabre saw because of the sabre like movement of the blade. If you use a sabresaw i def suggest using a very fine blade to make cutouts such as these. A coarse blade is much more lkkely to tear the plastic up.

In truth I suggest a Dremel or other rotary type cutter, they make the cleanest cuts.

Oscillating cutting tools work good too.
