How to get chicken to take oral antibiotics

Hi we have a chicken who recently got attacked by hawk and survived she is doing better but has a big gash on her neck. We have gotten her oral antibiotics that mixes with water and we give her with a syringe. Any tips to try to make it easier to give her? She fights us on taking it, the first day she let us open her beak and do it that way but now she is fighting us and won’t let us open her beak. We can’t really grab her head or neck to get her to stay still since thats where the wound is. Also the liquid is too thick to drop it on her beak and let her drink it herself. We have been putting it on the side of her mouth and she has gotten some, but wastes a lot of it doing that and moves her head constantly. Thank you for any tips to try to make this easier

Remove all sources of water except for that which is medicated.
And/Or
Put the prescribed dose of the medication on a morsel of bread, or if your girl goes bananas over sardines (etc.) 'bury' her dosage inside the favored treat.

What is the medication? Some can be given orally instead of mixing in water.

Pull her wattles down and her mouth will open, quickly shoot the liquid in her mouth and immediately let go of her wattles so she can swallow the liquid. Only dose 1/2ml at a time, any more than that, she might aspirate. It's best to do it in the dark. Use a flashlight to aid you.
If she doesnt have wattles, pull down the skin under her lower beak/upper throat and her mouth will open.
Have someone hold her while you administer the meds.

It is in a capsule that has power, I’m not sure of the name though

Thank you so much we will definitely try that! We have been using our hands to try to pull her beak open but that hasn’t been working lately so this will definitely help!
