I’m not really sure what my question is here. We have 5 female ducks. They refuse to use their shelter and lay their eggs wherever they please. They just started laying again after a break this winter and we currently have 2 nests in a wooded area of their run. I don’t ever see them lay on the nests. If I collect the eggs they just start laying in a new nest which I then have to find. Should I just let them continue to lay in the nests? At what point should I expect them that start laying on the eggs? I’m not eating the eggs since I’m not sure how long some of them have been there.
Additionally, any suggestions on how to get them to lay consistently in one spot?
