How to keep my cats OUT of the chick's gravel and dusting area???

Does anyone else have a problem with cats pooping in their chicken's gravel or their dusting sand?? I caught my cat digging and pooping tonight right in the gravel for my chicks! Makes me so mad because the cat has many arces in which to poop in, but she choses to poop right where I do not want her to.......ugh! Any good ideas on how to keep the cat out, while letting the chickens have free access to their gravel and sand???

wow that would be a problem . from a cat point of view a nice sandy place to poop is so perfect I doubt they can resist . hopefully someone with experiance will have an answer for you good luck
