How to make a splash Cochin?

If I breed my black Cochin roo With my white Cochin hen will that make the babies splash Cochins?

I think they will most likely be black. Thats what happened with 2 of mine and a whole lot of my other breeds. All light colored hens and one black rooster = a whole lots of black chicks.

I posted the same question under the breeds topic. No new answers. I have adorable little chicks:

The ones that are 1/2 black & 1/2 white are from my black cochin roo and white cochin hen. They have flecked eyelids and beaks. They're only a few days old- and some already have tiny white AND black wing feathers. So- if they're not splash- what ARE they?

I think you call them paints
you get splash by mating blue to blue. You get 50% blue, 25% black and 25% splash
Mating splash to black makes blue
splash to blue makes 50% splash and 50% blue
Splash to splash makes splash
Blue to black makes 50% blue, and 50% black
