I live in North Dakota, and I'm trying to go commercial and make some money on my eggs. My question is this: to whom do you sell your quail eggs, and how do you price them? Please note; North Dakota has a very low population and very few Asians (the ones who buy the most quail eggs), so I'm not sure where to market them. I'm getting 500+ hens in spring if that helps.

First step, move to a more populated state. Just kidding. I'm sure you are familiar with Myshire farms. They have some helpful videos on marketing quail. Facebook market place, Craigslist and local papers. I see adds in our local swapper paper and quail eggs for sale signs outside of farm suppy stores. We also have several farmer markets. A retail stand at the market is a way to meet and form a customer base but it's a lot of work. 500 birds is great! It's going to be loud! I would probably start with fewer birds, they lay so many eggs and mature so quickly you could hatch out as many as you want. Is there any market for the excess male bird or layed out hens? You can only eat so many. I'm interest in your endeavor. Let us know how it goes.

Perhaps start with fewer quail and see if there are any conventions or farmer's markets you can set up a stall in. Show people the uses of quail eggs and how to work with them

I've had really good success selling at auctions lately! Try to look around on different sites, especially Facebook, on if there are any small animal or alternative livestock auctions in your area.
