Does anyone have a tabletop brinsea ovation - the 28 egg capacity kind? I am going crazy trying to stabilize the humidity in it. I need to maintain 35-45% humidity for emu eggs that I have in it. The water wells in the bottom I think are too large for that level. So I have been putting in small water-filled glass jars (baby food jars, little mason jars etc.) But it seems to randomly change the humidity all the time. Sometimes having one baby food jar of water gives 35% humidity and sometimes I have to put 2-3 jars of water in. Sometimes I think the humidity is good before I go to bed, but then when I wake up it has dropped 10% despite there still being water in the jars.
There is one tiny vent on the incubator that doesn’t seem to make much difference whether it is open of shut.
Does anyone have any idea of what to do to keep the humidity up? My eggs are losing weight way too fast because the humidity keeps dropping. I’m scared I will kill them if this keeps up, maybe I already have
