Welcome to the flock. I agree that is an unreasonable distance. Maybe you can see about being "grandfathered" in to an allowance, since you have had your chickens for quite a while, and no complaints. If we had that ordinance here, I could do it, but I would have to move my whole run, as would many of my chicken keeping neighbors. Good luck.
