I hope this Barred Rock is a hen,,9 wks old

I hope for a hen,,its a pretty bird and when hatched it had a small white spot on the head..Other is same age Arucana I think,,I got them for a broody Buff Orphington who hatched them which was neat..

Sorry for duplicate pics,,I did not know if it uploaded and now Im not sure how to remove the extra pic..all ideas appreciated,,does the black band across the beak mean anything?

just for your fyi, the reason they are asking for better pics is to see the feather shapes around the tail area. in addition, they need to see the neck feathers. this will give them an idea on the answer.

It does have massive legs, but the barring is darker, like a female barred rock. So there are mixed signs. Better photos would help, and even then you may need to wait a while longer to sex this bird accurately.

Let me see if I can find,,or Ill need to go and take clearer,thanks for the help so far..Ok the snow is comming down and I will see if I can get a clearer pic,,it very well could be a mixed breed as the owner of the eggs has alot of different breeds..this one is as tall as the full grown buff orphington

She could be.the person who gave me the fertile eggs had 2 roosters and a bunch of different breeds of hens,,Im not sure how that all works with mixing them up like that,,Pretty sure she had a Leghorn Rooo,,and those and they are big
