I live in Pacific Northwest Washington.
I've been raising chicken since late 2020 and ducks since spring of 2022. I get so much enjoyment out of my little critters, and my big critters (German Shepherd, and Poodle). I live on an acre, but would love to have a bigger piece of land. My husband and I are restoring our land to a native habitat by planting trees, shrubs and a rain garden. We started the process 3 years ago and it has been so wonderful for our little flock, who needs fertilizer, with my crew.
I currently have (my little girls) 2 adopted older hens (4+ years) and a mother and daughter Bante in one run. In my bigger run I have (my big girls) 5 buff Orpingtons that are a year old and 2 Delaware hens. Soon to add 2 younger Lavender Orpingtons and 4 Barred Plymouth Rock to my (big girl flock)
I currently have 2 3-year-old ducks (I lost one of my hens to a giant eagle). I am hatching some baby Cayuga ducks from my pair.
Thank you for letting me into your group.
