Hi, i would like to have a net around just in case I need to catch a chicken or rabbit that don't want to be caught. Do you guys have any ideas? Thanks

Any fishing store should do the trick. I bought a net for about $8 that was aluminum with black netting. It works great. My only advice is to buy two nets if you live with other people. We have guinea fowl and they really hate being bothered by people. One person with a net is good but if two people have nets the birds don't stand a chance at getting by.

I am not very quick with a net. I always had more luck just tricking chickens into a small cage with scratch or some kind of treat. I don't know about rabbits.

I simply buy a butterfly net. Works in a pinch if I can chase the chicken into a corner. One method that works good is to take advantage of a chicken's habit of running around a fence line. set up a U shaped addition to the fence line. Then, drive her into it. Before she realizes that she's been cornered, you're on top of her and have snagged her. Back to the butterfly net. I also use them when gardening to snag bugs: potato bugs, Japanese beetles. (also use a cup of soapy water) But they really shine when dealing with yellow jackets that like to search out nesting sites in my deep mulch. I just drop the net over the yellow jacket, and then stomp him while he's still in the net.
