I put a humidifier inside my little giant!

Now, I am hatching geese and need a high humidity. I don't leave it on all the time, usually just have to turn it on for a min or two and I only have to crack open the bator about an inch to do it. It gets the humidity up to 90% in like 2 mins... then I turn it off.

The humidifier that fits inside is less than $15 and its called ReliOn Portable Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier.

Thought someone might find this useful. You can find it next to the Vicks Brand stuff at Walmart

that is a great idea! and its small enough to fit inside?! Do you leave it inside and just plug it in to run it or take it in and out?

Yep, its small enough. I run the cord through one of the vents because it detaches from the humidifier. I leave it right inside... I'll get a pic as soon as the kids go to bed. Then I just flip the switch for a minute and then flip it back off again when the humidity rises.

The cord in my hand is to the humidifier. Its run through one of the red-capped vents.

Here is a view through the window. Its on at time of pic. It only has the blue light on when its running. When its off, its dark. It also sounds an alarm when it runs out of water, which is cool.

Here is what the box looks like. I got it from walmart. It was $12 or $13... can't remember which. It was in health and beauty, near the pharmacy where they keep the Vicks.

It will drop your temp just a little bit while its on but I leave it in the bator so it keeps the water warm and I only have to crack it open to flip switch and raise humidity... but thats all it needs is a few minutes! I keep this one in the LG I use for hatching since thats when I need the most humidity and don't want to be taking off the cover all the time.

HOw long will it goe before it runs out of water?
Im wondering it it would be good to put in my cabinet incbuator to turn on during hatching lockdown...
I'm having ahrd time keeping the humidity up in it right now even with two large pans of water and about 5 sponges.....
