I have a 13 week old pullet, she was sick
Open mouth breathing, swollen nasal, otherwise good
I had her isolated for a week and 4 days, i watched her, no crop issues, and no gape worms, so i figured respiratory
I treated her for that with Vitamins and electrolyte, and Vet rx....she looks great now, it is a beautiful dayso i figured put her in my closed in garden so she can forage, she's at the age that voice is changing, (i at first worried it was a cough, but realized it's just her voice change), she still mouth breaths a little bit,not struggling, very active in the garden...when will be able to put her with her friends...she got away from me once..so desperate to be with them..lol..also do they mouth breath if running alot

Chickens will pant, especially if hot or after a lot of exercise, like your example of running a lot. I have a rooster that pants more often than not as he's just so excitable I guess. He runs around the yard for no particular reason trying to practice strutting I guess.

Many can overcome respiratory issues without antibiotics so sounds like yours did it! As long as she doesn't exhibit the symptoms anymore I'd say it's fine. Usually those things run their course in about five to seven days, and yours has been segregated for nearly double that.

I'd keep her and them all on vitamins in their water every other day for a week or two just in case though.

Good to know, where I'm new to this i was hoping i did the right thing, and i really wanted to keep her segregated to make sure it doesn't spread....I've been keeping her in my downstairs tub in the night and my porch with me in the day, my bathroom is kept cool but i want her to go in the coop before the weather gets too cold so she doesn't get shocked from the cold
