Will it take?
I got a couple of flemsih giants easter weekend. We got home and took them out of the boxes so my kids could look at them before we took them to settle in their new homes. I walked out to use the bathroom leaving my SO to watch. When I got back he said 'Sarah, that male rabbit latched on to that female and tried to mate it'

So fast?!
He said he pulled them apart and the little female (who was 9 weeks old at the time) was squirming a lot. The buck was 4 months old and had never bred before.

I was just thinking today.. What if?!
Tell me they are too young for anything to have happend!

Rabbits can physically breed very early, even at 2-3months. If they get pregnant too early, you sometimes loose the doe. But it does happen, and they usually end up fine, but are not great Mamas that young.

Chances are she will end up fine, but there is a small risk. And she is probably pregnant.

Mine have never taken at that age. The bucks may try and it has only happened once, but she did not get pregnant. She was 4 months old. I think they aren't fertile yet at that age. I could be wrong, but I KNOW he got her and she had no babies. She just went through a false pregnancy, pulled fur and all that, but never a kit.

Interesting. I did that thing where you put your fingers on each side and go to feel.. but I didnt feel anything, not even poop

When you put any two rabbits together, regardless of gender, they will immediately become very excited at seeing and smelling another rabbit and either start humping each other or fighting. It's just something rabbits do.

The buck is breeding age, but the doe, is really young at nine weeks. Rabbits can mate very quickly IF the doe is receptive, not running from the buck. All you can do now if mark the date on your calendar. Most rabbits kindle in about 28 days.

Is it possible your doe is bred? Yes, but I really don't think it's very likely if they were only together a few minutes. If a young doe is caged with a buck, they can come into season earlier, but if she's been caged separately, she's not likely to be ready for breeding until she is about 4-5 months old.

If she is expecting, you are more likely to lose the litter than the doe. Sometimes they scatter the bunnies, who get chilled and die, THEN build a nest. Nature is telling her what to do, but first timers may do it in the wrong order.

Good luck with your rabbits!

Ive been palpating her lately to check and had really only felt poo in her but today I went a little further back than I had before and felt something that wasnt poop
The poop is hard balls and this... well this was about half the size of my pinky and a little more squishy. It felt like there could have been a couple in there. Could that just be some organ?
She would be 23 days prego today.

it is very hard. I had the help of a vet, and lost every single one, by the time they were 2 weeks old. Something in their moms milk they need and really isn't a good replacer. She was a first time mom, and actually was eating her babies so I took them.
I gave them meds, harvested fresh poop to put in their milk from their mom.
I even did bunny CPR, they all died anyway and it was heart breaking.
