I'm Back!

Hi Everyone, I was an active poster last April/May then things got busy! We're getting 6 more chickens next weekend. April 14th is the co-op day for chicks. We're excited! It's been a fun year with the 5 chickens, a lot of learning, trial and errors! We lost one chicken a couple weeks ago to impacted crop. Here they are! Their tribute before the babies arrive and everyone starts ooh'ing and ahh'ing over them and the ladies feel neglected!

Here's the start of our new spring chicks! We got 4 yesterday. 2 Silver Lakenvelder and 2 Salmon Favorelle. The Salmons were straight runs, corssing fingers that they turn out to be pullets!!! The Silvers are pullets. Will go back on Friday for more when the EE and RIR arrive! So excited! IT wa sa good first night. One chick had pasty butt this morning. Hope she doesn't develop it again while I'm at work!!
