IM GETTING PEACOCKS!! what do i feed them??

I'm getting some peacocks.........what do i feed them?? is there such thing as peacock food?? or do i feed like game bird crumble or something ?? Tell me all what you guys feed your peacocks....and treat would be good to ............ thanks

Are they babies or adults? If adults..... look a few posts down at "What do you feed your peacocks".

If you want them to live long and break the cycle of disease and infection you will not use crumbles or mashes of any kind and only extruded kibble.
Mazuri makes an exotic pheasant kibble in three different formulas -for breeders, chicks and maintenance I think. Ultrakibble is sold through agway I think ask them if they carry it. Its formulated almost exclusively for peafowl. If this doesn't float your boat feed 50/50 cat food and wild bird seed. If you have a peahen make certain she has oystershell.

Feed a good gamebird of turkey feed.......If you feed and treat them like turkeys, you will be fine........

Some cat food is very high (too high for birds) in vitamin "A". Make sure if it is used you understand this vitamin.

Check (compare) to a puppy chow.

It is important for both Turkeys and Peafowl to get a good quality animal protein.
