Hi there, not sure it makes a difference but I never used an incubator before and let the hens do their thing . But realizing I really don't like the incubator it's kinda stressing me and bought a stand up one with a few shelves . Anyways the temperature of the incubator is at 36 there is no half and I left it at that for a reason . I have a thermal reader that reads the temp of the inside of the egg and they are all sitting at 99.5 . But again the incubator says 36. So my question is if I'm reading each egg and not worrying about what the incubator says will I be ok ? If I turn it up to 37 my eggs test 102. So I left it at 36 . I put a digital thermometer in there as well and it reads 36 . But again all my eggs are about the same bottom tray says 99.5 and top read 100 per read on each egg .

Your incubator is reading in Celcius. 37.5 Celcus is 99.5 Fahrenheit.

Your incubator thermometer may be off. That would be no surprise as most are. It sounds to me like if you leave it at 36 Celcius, that is about right. Being a half of a degree off one way or the other doesn't matter.

I have never used a thermal reader, so hopefully that's accurate!

Thanks . I feel I'm doing something wrong . Humidity seems right now but I put no water in it 50/60% I can't get it any lower .

If the humidity outside or in the room is really high it might not be possible to reduce it in the incubator. It's a problem I have as the humidity here is often 80% to 100%. Even so, I have had fairly good hatch rates. Best luck
