I am apparently very incubator impaired. Lol I have a Brisnea Mini Eco and find it very hard to get the temp right and even when I do it changes all the time from 99-106 degrees. I also have a Magicfly Digital Mini and for some reason every time I take the top off to candle an egg or whatever, I can’t get the lid back on right so that the turner works. Any advice?

I'm not familiar with that incubator but 106 will quickly kill an embryo.

That's good to hear. With some incubators with finicky controls and low wattage heat elements they can be all over the board without something inside as a heat sink, like eggs.

Really? So it might have fluctuated so much because there were no eggs in it?

Possibly. I'm not there so I really can't reliably assess the situation.
The incubators I described can fluctuate. A heat sink like bricks or water bottle or eggs will help regulate temperature because they are holding heat.

good to know. Thank you so much. I’ll try it again with a water bottle before I try eggs in it
