So I’m an Ag teacher hatching eggs for class and we’re on day 19/20. there was a short in the plug over the weekend and when I arrived to check on things the incubator was off and eggs cold and had been that way for over 24 hours.

Anyone know if there is somehow a chance these chicks might have survived that long without heat? I’m pretty bummed thinking that none are going to end up hatching.

It is still possible that some will hatch! I'm sure by now you have them warmed back up. Since they are in lockdown I'd skip candling, just let them get nice and warm and wait it out.

Look for any wiggling eggs and listen for peeps. Good luck! I hope they hung in there for you! The chicks I know of that hatched were earlier on in their development and potentially less susceptible to being cold.
