Hi,
I hatched 2 ducklings 6 weeks ago and one of them developed a deformation in its spine and seem to grow slower than the other duckling hatched on the same day, the lower part of its beak is longer than the top too now.
I have attached pictures here below where you can see the difference between the two and in one you can see the spine going to the right instead of being straight.
Does anyone know what this could be? I don’t mind keeping it like this but I’m worried that it will suffer and get worse when it’s full size as it looks like the vertabreas seems squashed together. If it will suffer I will have to put it down.
Many Thanks

I would take it day by day, if the little one is eating and drinking and enjoys running around with it's sib then wait till you notice the change in behavior I think you'll know. Other wise I am with @casportpony Just take care of it as long as it isn't suffering. Bless it's heart. I believe @casportpony was the one that mentioned scoliosis in another thread awhile back maybe that is what it has.

Thank you! So sad as it’s such a sweet duckling. :(
He had few problems in getting back to his feet once upside down but his spine was fine, the last 7 days highlighted how bad it become. We will definetly keep him hoping he can stay with us for a while without being in pain.
Thanks again
