Hi there BYC Family!
Is there anyone currently working on getting the Indio Gigante breed recognized by the APA?
I know this is a very long process, but I can't find any information regarding anyone starting this project. There seems to be only a few true IG breeders in the US that meet ABRACIG SOP (whose site is currently not available, even with the Brazilian .br domain) which seems to be the biggest hurdle. I am unsure of how many true IG breeders there really are in the States, and what, if at all, they have done regarding APA (to my knowledge nothing, but I don't claim to know all).
If anyone has any sources, or leads, that would be greatly appreciated.
If you're an IG breeder and interested in this adventure, please let me know! On the flip side, if you're an IG that is NOT interested in this adventure, please let me know why too
I fell in love with this breed years ago and would love to be able to truly show them at exhibitions in their full giant glory, keep their standards up and participate in fun projects with specific goals that we can all share and admire together as a club. This requires multiple breeders who are willing to be active and consistent.
Best regards from Kentucky.
