Injured Cochin Chick

Hello all!
Is there anything I can do for this chick that hatched hours ago with a damaged eye. I'm genuinely not sure how it happened. I'm just looking for treatment plan at this point. Should I put some kind of ointment on it or leave it alone? I have come to terms that it most likely will not be keeping the eye. I'm just trying to make it as stress-free as possible. I also know that damage to a chick this young she may not make it so I have come to terms with that as well. Just looking for any input.

I agree, it looks like she has lost the eye.

Can she close the eye at all? I'd get some Terramycin eye ointment to have on hand.

She has since passed away. It appeared she was blind in the other eye as well.
