Our flock currently consists of 1 golden laced wyandotte roo, 6 BR, 2 White rocks, 1 RIR, & 1 BO. I'm looking into getting a 2nd established flock with 3 hens & a rooster. 13 hens is enough to ease discord between the boys, right?

I'm not entirely sure about adding a rooster. Since you have 13 hens, it may or may not be enough to keep the roo's from killing each other. It depends on how protective the roosters are.

6ish hens per roo is best. as long as you have enough space and the roosters are mild you dshould be good :) so just make sure there is space, good luck

The roo we have now (Ron Swanson) is super easygoing. He herds them into the coop at night (they free range), but that's about it when it comes to his protector duties. We also have a second coop we could start using if need be.
