Chick hatched today. Went straight from clean incubator that was being used for the first time, into fresh brooder that has never housed chickens. Chick has pooped what appears to be blood. All other behaviour normal. See attached photo of poop. Is it possible it’s coccidiosis?

It's nearly impossible as the chick isn't susceptible yet to any infective oocysts that causes coccidiosis. Three to six week old chicks are the most vulnerable age.

My guess is it pooped on a spot of blood from its egg or part of the egg remains came with the poop.
