Is Loosestrife plant toxic to my chickens?

We just removed two Loosestrife plants from our new run because we were worried that they were poisonous to our birds. Was this necessary?

I am new to BYC( and chickens in general) and only have dial up so I dont go after pictures much but it would be helpful to have pictures of plants and/or insects that are harmful to chickens as I have never heard of loosestrife and have no idea what it even looks like or if it grows in my area. If this already exists, sorry I just havent come across it yet.
