Hello friendly poultry community!
I picked up this gorgeous Brahma thinking it was a young rooster however her/his mannerisms are throwing me off. I cannot for the life of me figure out if this is a rooster or a hen.
I hope someone who is familiar with the breed will be able to help me sex and age this gorgeous chicken?
Thank you kindly! 😊🐓🐥

I am terrible with this breed, but I could see how you think it could be a hen. I would too. Curious to see what others
It is a cockerel, zooming in the male specific feathers are already showing.
Thank you! Please educate me, which feathers should I look out for as indicators? And do you have any idea how old he may be?

Another thing is! When I rub him on the back, same as I do with the hens, they sort of crouch down as if being mated then they hop up and ruffle their feathers. He does this also! Which again lead me to believe he might be a she?

The acceptance crouch, interesting! Please comment again if it turns out to be a female of more male traits show up.
