Is there a good chance of selling extra males as breeders for meat?

I know it's a bit odd of a question because "local" is different for everyone. I just got my shipment of Delawares and they are fantastic. I will have many extra males and prefer to sell some if possible. They came from a breeder. Not a hatchery. They grow big and fast. Does anyone have luck selling males as breeders for raising meat? I will list them after they get just a bit older and try but I was just curious.

I'm sure there are some people who would want a new breeder for their meat bird lines, some would just want a good flock leader, and some would simply like a fresh chicken dinner. Then depending on where you live, some would want them for fighting. The problem with selling chickens comes down to who is in your area and who is willing to drive however far it may be. I'll soon be in a similar situation once I sort through my own flock to make room for some new birds.

If I had it my way and I could have/afford several large pens of chickens for different purposes, I'd likely be looking for new breeding stock to try out and I know Delawares are a nice heritage meat bird. Why oh why does chicken keeping/raising/breeding have to be so addicting?

So true. These are good points. I don't think anyone would pay breeder price for a nice chicken dinner. Lol if so then that's fine with me. They either sell at breeder price or I will eat them! If I know anything about fighting then no I won't sell. It's hard to know people's intentions.

Same here if I had land to have several large pens then I would too. It's addicting and fun.

These Delawares are so different from my hatchery Delawares. It's incredible. I could spot it from day 1. The chicks are so much bigger. They are fluffier. They are growing faster. Unbelievable. I can spot the males from just a few days old because their wing barring is visible just after they start feathering in. The breeder says the males are like 5-6 lbs in 12 weeks. I can absolutely see that.
