I have one chocolate turkey tom and one chocolate turkey hen. He struts around all day and she completely ignores him. I have never seen them mate and so when she started laying eggs I had little hope they were fertilized. But, I put her first three eggs in the incubator just to see, and all three were fertilized and all three hatched. 2 have the same color markings on the head and the third has a different color marking on the head. I was wondering if that was a way to tell male from female chicks with chocolate turkeys.
