Is this just debris or some kind of infection?

Hi.two of my ducks have dark spots between bill and eye.i tried to remove it but it's hard and sticked to thier skins.

That close up, @phoenix2077 does look like something is stuck on the ducks face just behind the bill. I don't know what it is. I think its a case of wait and see.

Be sure the ducks have deep water to submerge their heads in. And keep us in the loop with developments
 
Aren't they just dirty girls -- ie normal ducks -- @Miss Lydia? It just looks like staining in the photos, from sticking their bills where ducks stick their bills!!!
I wonder if the may have scabs from possibly sticking their bills where they shouldn’t? Do they feel like scabs?
Idk.i can't remove that dirt with water.its like dried glue and feathers.also thanks for answers and sorry for bad English.

Can (cold) coal cause this?
