I was wondering if this is moldy I just bought it today and I have only put it in chicken runs. Is it going to harmful on the girls? I didn't smell anything from it other than straw smell.

Ok thank you so much they are in the coop locked up I will get it all out of the run before they come out.

Sorry that you have so much more work!

For future reference, straw molds inside the stalk first. The outer layer is very waxy, like plastic, which doesn't allow mold to sit on the outside. The interior is fibrous, has the remaining moisture content, so the mold has an easy time hiding and it's hard to smell. In your picture, the discoloration spots are actually showing through the waxy layer as the interior has been broken down. I don't use straw in chicken pens for that reason.
The straw is still good to use in the garden if the chickens don't play in there / or other small animals.
