Something’s wrong with my (6yo) Orpington chicken. The past few days she’s been making these jerking neck movements a lot, making me think something’s wrong with her crop. Recently she spat up some clear liquid and 2 days ago she didn’t want to eat the food I offered, though I eventually got her to eat some yogurt. (Her appetite seems to have returned now).
Her poop contains some indigested food and her crop feels off, kind of balloon-like (full of air, and little food) and her breastbone is quite prominent.
She’s still quite active, walking around the garden looking for food, but also sometimes stands still with her eyes closed.
I’ve also noticed she’s more clumsy than usual, stumbling over her own feet sometimes.
