Is Vinyl Floor Safe

I just cut the vinyl to attach to my coop floor, and there is an AWFUL smell. We had the vinyl stored in the garage so it had ample time to air out. Will this smell go away? Will it be harmful to the chicks? I did a search and didn’t see anything on here.

A smell as in serious offgassing?

Or as in some kind of contaminant from storage -- mold, etc?

Like off gassing. I just went out and checked again, and it wasn’t as bad. Maybe it just needed to air out. The coop has plenty of ventilation.

Makes sense, thanks! It smelled much better this morning after being unrolled all night in the coop.
