ISO Barred Plymouth Rock hatching eggs, must be non-hatchery stock, very good lines (let me know what lines they originate from), as well as parent stock that have *never* had any respiratory illness or other health issues, inc no Marek's vax. We are very picky about this-our two BR lines are from Marvin Stukel, Guy Roy/Jill Burk but the remaining birds are very old now, so looking to start with fresh stock soon. Tell us what you have and don't be offended with questions because we do not have disease in our flocks and never want to. @sgribble , @BRITROCK anything for us? Even in the early spring is okay. Thanks. ~Cynthia

If you don't mind paying for shipping I recommend buying from This personNightdigger32 on eBay. He sells for a great price and my eggs have the BEST hatch rate from him🩵🩷 as well they are an extremely quality bird you can tell They are well bred big birds with wonderful calm and friendly personalities. Out of all of our birds we love them the most! I can't wait till we expand some so I can get more form them. They answer messages I'm sure you can ask about the lines

Oh, thank you so much! I'll contact him.
ETA: I did check out his stock on Ebay, but it's not what I'm looking for. The attached photos show the type of Barred Rocks we had and that I'm looking to replace. I appreciate the reference, though!

I'm invested in your search now lol. I didn't realize you were looking for Imperial Ringlet Barred Rocks they are certainly a beautiful American breed. I know Victoria farms has a great group but the 100% do vaccines. Have you tried M&M they have a line you could call or email and ask about their blood lines and vaccine policies

Or perhaps reach out to Good Shepard they have one of the oldest lines in the country and only vaccinate on request I believe.

Actually, to my understanding, Imperial Ringlet (Good Shepherd) and Marvin Stukel are two different lines, but they are definitely of similar, superior quality. No, I have not tried anyone else. I saw that Peninsula Poultry Breeders have supposedly stopped shipping, but I may try them on Facebook anyway, though they are in Washington State, or end up attempting to call Marvin at the number I have, though I wasn't sure if he was still breeding them. Will also check out M&M, but now I see they are not currently shipping. Several who used to ship eggs and chicks are not doing so at this time, unfortunately. Thanks for the lead. I was thinking it was a bit late in the season, but if we wait until spring, not sure what will happen, may run into more road blocks. Thanks, appreciate it.
ETA: I did shoot a message off to sgribble here and from my husband's FB acct, but no answer. I just sent a message to Jamie Duckworth as well as Kraig Shafer. Both have superior quality birds as well.
ADDING, Kraig Shafer's reply (very fast, too) He's in Ohio.

Cynthia, I'll have eggs available this Fall, but I do not ship anymore. The Postal Service has destroyed the last 3 shipments I sent, and I decided to not ship.
:(

I think most breeders generally do Marek's vax and I'm investigating if residue/remnants of it pass through the egg, which may not be the case. I've consulted a veterinarian/chicken breeder friend about that. It may be a non-issue since I want eggs and not day olds.

Success! I found some hatching eggs from a well-known breeder, Jamie Duckworth. He's collecting for me though his birds are molting now. I can't believe how excited I am to be getting more beautiful stock. 😃

I had made arrangements with a well-known breeder to ship me hatching eggs as of 9/20/24, but found that his hens were actually pullets, not even laying yet. Now, they're laying, but he wants to meet to get them to me four hours away, just can't do that. So, the Great Egg Chase is still on for a bit until I feel it's just too cold to raise chicks here in the mountains. I'll likely give up until spring if I don't find any by the end of October.
If you have excellent quality stock, not hatchery stock, message me. Thanks.

Any info on good eggs? I'm looking for the same. We call em heritage barred rocks. Show quality barred rocks...

I'm looking ti hatching eggs to do a first hatch and grow with my kiddo! We had them years ago but moved around and don't have chickens anymore. Trying to get back into it.

I got a line on Jamie Duckworth, a well-known breeder of quality Rocks and others. We will be getting back in touch in the spring for him to get eggs to me. He's in S.C. I think. But, if this fizzles out, I have Steven Gribble in Chatsworth, GA and I can drive to get those if he'll get back to me soon. He said he wasn't sure if his were fertile yet, but that was over a month ago. Both are on Facebook and Steven is @sgribble here on BYC.
