I am trying to rid my birds of lice and mites as well as worm thm. My husband purchased ivomec pour-on for cattle (5mg ivermectrin). How much do I use and how do I administer it? I am hoping to add it to there water, but am not sure this is an option. Thanks for your help. Several of the previous posts asked the same question, but didn't provide a direct answer.

It must be put on the skin, not in the water, not taken internally.

You need a 1 ml syringe without a needle. Should be available from the feed store or your pharmacy. For full grown large fowl, give 0.5 ml on the back of the neck, directly on the skin; you have to part the feathers and get it right on the skin. For bantams, give 0.25 ml the same way.

Lots easier to do with a helper and well after dark when they are sound asleep.

Thanks a bunch. Not as easy as water, but seems fullproof. It will feel like I am applying frontline to 40 dogs:).

I know this sounds like a strange question but I would rather ask and not be sorry. Researching on the different ways to worm chickens and ducks I feel like the Ivomec pour on is something I would rather do, because then I know how much each bird has been given. The question is does this also cover ducks as well? Thanks for any help here.
