Lab incubator to hatch eggs???

I am planning on using this lab incubator. I am going to install a fan and thermostat and use the petrie dish trays for water trays.

Hey I just hatched my first batch using the lab bator... 100% hatch rate ... Nobt bad for a first time using a bator lol... Only thing u need to take care of is humidity ... As mine was running a lil high... I ran it dry for first 18 days then used the water trays for lock down... And peeled back some of the door seal to allow sufficient ventilation...

For those wondering about the temperature on a lab incubator, they are adjustable. They usually have a range from about 5 degrees C. to around 75 degrees C. Some have water jackets inside that help keep the temperature swings lower, and these will maintain temp to about plus or minus .2-.3 C. Some also have adjustable humidity controls that will keep it at the humidity you set it at as long as you give it a water source and a drain that's not plugged. Another nice thing about them (mine included) is some have an outlet inside that can be used to plug in your automatic egg turner and/or a fan to circulate the air if you need one. They are also stainless steel inside, which makes cleanup after a hatch much nicer. If anyone has questions about a particular incubator, I'll be happy to answer them. I get to use them fairly often, as it's part of being a laboratory technician.
