Hello all!
I've been reading on here for a few years while I raise my own Lady Amherst Pheasants. With great advice I've raised, bred, and successful hatched a total of 12!
I've read so much online! And, my own experience has differed from all advice and factual science.
Curiosity peaks when what I experience deviates from the norm. I've read on average juvenile males will get adult plumage between 13 and 15 months.
Do I have some mutants?
My babies this year are currently between 10 and 13 weeks old. But I'm noticing some odd adult feathers coming through on my oldest males. Wondering out of curiosity if others have seen this?
My thoughts are simply they're getting a few rogue adult male feathers but not likely full plumage.
Thanks everyone!
