Large mass on chickens back

Help!! This chicken had a mass seem to pop up overnight. It is about the size of a tennis ball, hard and beginning to affect walking. Chickie has a little limp almost but gets around is eating and drinking. The comb is definitely pale and droopy.

What is the dark spot on the side - is that a scab or?
Can you get photos of that side of the lump?

It almost looked like a bruise under the skin. I’ll try to get better pictures.
No scabs there was a matter feather. Doesn’t feel like it is liquid inside so I’m not sure if it’s an abscess or growth. So strange
