Hey y’all I was wondering what you would get if you bred lavender and buff Orpington together? Also would you ever be able to breed a lavender out of them ? Thanks

Chicks will be black or mostly black, possibly with some buff leakage around the neck and chest mostly. You can only get lavender if you have two lavender birds or two birds that carry lavender. It is recessive and acts as black when crossed to other colors. If the chicks from this crossing are bred together or bred back to the lavender parent, some of their babies can be lavender.Hey y’all I was wondering what you would get if you bred lavender and buff Orpington together? So close to a Jubilee. Here are some lavender x buff orpingtons:

Most of the time, crosses with black (and dilutions of black) and self buff will come out with excessive buff leakage. There will be no lavenders in the first generation, though crossing back to the lavender parent or crossing the siblings together will give you some lavenders.
Not really. Jubilees are red columbian with mottling. A buff would be closer to a jubilee than a buff x lavender cross. So close to a Jubilee.
