Leg Bands for adult Button Quail

Does anyone know the best size/brand/type of leg bands for adult button quail?

I agree that those look promising. Maybe you could email them and ask for recommendations on sizing. I don't see any explanation of that.

On further reading, they recommend using their size four (smallest) on baby chicken. If that's the case, I suspect they would just fall off of button quail. I may consider using their "Jiffy Wing" bands instead.

Oh, I couldn't pierce a wing (or a foot webbing).

#4 is 1/4", is that too big?

Someone here mentioned orthodontic bands.

Orthodontic bands might work. I used some 3/16" chick bands on my coturnix and they fell off of the chicks, but worked OK on the adults, so I'm reasonably certain that 1/4" would never stay on buttons.

I use zip ties. You can choose the size, and can have different colors.

I was afraid zip ties would be too rough and scrape their feet. Are they safe? I'm also concerned that they would be dangerous to try to remove.
